After almost two months of confinement, it appears that next Monday 18th the province of Malaga will be entering the first phase of de-escalation. As you can imagine, those two months have hit hard at one of the English Cemetery’s main sources of funding: cultural activities.
Despite this difficulty, the Cemetery team has continued to work behind closed gates to get every thin gready for a return to regular activity. We are now happy to say that from next Monday we will be open again to the public, with a new timetable and every guarantee of safety for both staff and visitors.
The English Cemetery in Malaga is a historic garden allowing for visitors to be in the open air and disconnect for a while from the weight of confinement, so during the first phase of de-escalation we will be welcoming visitors between 10am and 2pm. All visitors will be charged only the reduced entrance fee of 3 euros.
As soon as the rules of phase 2 are officially published we will be able to announce our cultural programme for this summer and go back to normal opening hours, so please follow us on social media to be kept informed!
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the friends of the English Cemetery and donors for their continued support: this is even more important to us, and appreciated, in such difficult times. It will make all the difference to the future of the international cultural heritage site which is the English Cemetery in Malaga.
Best wishes to you and your families. Take care, and stay safe.
