Malaga’s English Cemetery hosts a very special concert by the Malaga Municipal Band at dusk. Amongst centuries-old tombstones, cypress trees and neo-Gothic sculptures, music will fill this romantic garden with life in a unique encounter between memory, art and culture.
The band will perform a diverse repertoire ranging from the epic solemnity of Gustav Holst’s The Planets to the luminous energy of the pasodoble Sighs of Spain, the baroque modernity of Karl Jenkins’ Palladio and the orchestral power of Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Toccata Marziale. Turina’s Danzas Fantásticas, full of colour and Spanish tradition, will also be performed.
It will be a unique opportunity to enjoy music in one of the most special places in Malaga.
