Since 2006, the management of the English Cemetery has been in the hands of a Foundation. Normally, in Spain, public entities would look after the running of any spaces connected with death, but this is not the case here.
The ‘Fundación Cementerio Inglés de Málaga’, a non profit making organisation, works very hard to preserve, maintain and restore the oldest protestant cemetery on the Spanish mainland and an important part of the city’s heritage.
Like all Foundations, the organisation is dependent on corporate sponsorship and private donations in order to carry out its function. We would like to invite you to help the Foundation to continue its work.
...A little can go a long way.
The ‘Patronato’ is the board of trustees which runs the foundation. It is committed to fulfilling the aims of the Foundation and properly administering the property and rights which make up the Foundation’s patrimony.
There are currently eight trustees including the president, vice president and secretary. They are:
Member responsible for Gardens
Member responsible for Conservation and Restoration
