EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

The English Cemetery Foundation offers a series of educational activities for school groups, introducing pupils to the many aspects of the history and culture of Malaga which are exemplified within the cemetery’s walls.

Active participation and engagement are encouraged and the materials are adapted for each age group and the appropriate school curriculum. By learning about the history of the cemetery, pupils acquire a greater knowledge of, and interest in, the history of the city as a whole.

Activities are presented in either English or Spanish and are adjusted to the particular needs of the group.

WHERE ARE WE?

The address of the English Cemetery in Malaga is number 1, Avenida de Pries, just behind the Miramar Hotel at the end of the Paseo de Reding. It is a five minute walk from the Pompidou  Centre or 15 minutes from Calle Larios, making it an ideal place to start or end a school visit to the historic city centre.

If you are coming by coach, we recommend you alight at the end of Calle Cervantes, next to the bull ring.

If you are coming on the city bus, get off at the Hotel Miramar stop (heading east) or at Avda de Pries, Cementerio Inglés, right out the cemetery gate, if heading west. (The 3 and the 11 both cover this route).
